Why do I have the ugly prestic on my 18-55 lens?
First of all... The focal length of the human eye is 17mm.
The short version of a long explanation is...
The perfect focal length to capture a photograph true to the real thing that one see, is 30 to 35 mm. A google search on this will reveal a lot of explanations.
The following 3 photos is taken with a focal length of 30mm. Crisp and clear and as you would normally see it.
A building.
Looking at stars.
Looking at the distant street lights at night.
